Build around the date you can enter
A closing, lease start, delivery window, and key handoff are not always the same moment. Confirm when you can occupy the property and what happens if that changes. Avoid scheduling every service on the assumption that access will be available at the start of the day.
Keep your move records together
Keep signed agreements, inventory, photos, provider confirmations, and contact details in a private folder you can reach from your phone. Carry identity documents and valuables with you. Never put account credentials into a public checklist or a moving company’s inventory notes.
After the truck leaves
